A Sprocket Pillow

Sprocket pillow from tutorial at Cluck Cluck Sew

I saw the tutorial for these over at Cluck Cluck Sew a while ago now
but hadn't got round to making one.

Then last week I decided that one of the pillows we took camping recently desperately needed a wash,
only to find that it came out of the washing machine really matted and clumpy.

Aha!
Some clean clumpy stuffing in need of recycling I thought....
what better way to use it up than a Sprocket Pillow.

The tutorial was really well written and easy to follow and as Allison says I can feel the second one calling already.
One is not going to be enough.

I used some fabric I bought recently in Soft Touch Needlecrafts in Tavistock which I think is called Nordic Mushrooms and also some plains which I had in my stash.

The reverse  is some leftover Full Moon Lagoon from the same place which I used recently to bind this quilt.

You can see the lumpiness of the stuffing on the reverse of the pillow but it is being well used already on the sofa so I don't think the lumps will be very obvious for long.

The button was initially going to be a covered one in an orange spotted fabric but I found this old leather one in my button box and it went so well I opted for that instead.

All in all it was a quick and easy project which just fitted the bill as the holidays are still going and there is much to be done.
