Pig in Poppies.

Pig in Poppies by Textile-tally
I had a small helper in my sewing room today and after a bit of sketching he came up with a pig pattern. Fifteen minutes later, and with a bit of help, Percy the pig was born! Percy particularly likes the poppies that match his ears. And I really like his twirly tail..

Those sweet william are some that were left over from last year that I decided to cut back and
leave in and they have done better than last year!

While Percy was being created I managed to sneak in a couple of mobile phone cases. One for a present and one for me. I am hoping it will help me not to lose my phone but I fear that is unlikely.

A little box from Moo.

The box looks so inconspicuous from the outside..

but inside is a beautiful arrangement of little cards showing snippets of my work. I love them.
The idea was given to me by my friend at Sewshoddy and I am really pleased with the result. I am not entirely sure what I will do with them all, but I think they make great labels for any pieces I make for the gallery, so I guess I will just have to get making! I also quite like the idea of making some tiny envelopes and sending weeny post cards - how silly is that!

Delphinium Nelly..

Delphinium Nelly by Textile-tally
.
I made a Smelly Nelly with some of the last of my lavender from last year and she looks particularly at home next to the Delphiniums that are just coming out. I love Delphiniums and keep meaning to sew some more but that is just on the list of 'to do's' which is a pretty big list at the moment!
The Smelly Nelly idea was one that I had last year when I had a pretty good harvest of lavender but didn't fancy making normal square bags.

She looks fairly cute from behind too! Happy friday.
