I have finally finished the doostop that would have been useful in all this windy weather to stop the backdoor slamming. I made it from the pattern in Lotta Jansdotter's book Simple Sewing. It's a fairly simple pattern and I added a couple of panels 'of stitch and flip' (as usual!) to add some colour to a plain fabric.I filled it with split peas because I have run out of wheat, which seems to have worked ok, but it did take 4kg which is more than the pattern said. I think it's another useful pattern from a great book.

A pot holder for practice..
The leftover leaves have been backed with another old shirt and quilted to make a little pot holder. I even managed to use up two small pieces of bias binding strips to edge it from my stash. It was good to practice the leaf quilting before I start on the main quilt.

There was space for a couple of little tags on the back which serve no purpose whatsoever but I just like them!

A very blustery day..
There were a few fallen leaves left over and so I have attached them to a piece of shirt and am wondering what to make them into..any ideas?
